The disco pioneers head to the UK to perform live from The Royal Albert Hall and two special shows at Bedford Park and The Piece Hall

Legendary vocal group Sister Sledge have announced UK shows for 2023 including a performance at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday 8 June and will be taking to the stage at Bedford Park on Friday 23 June and Live At The Piece Hall on Saturday 24 June with The Jacksons and The Real Thing.

Emerging as disco reached its zenith, Sister Sledge helped take the genre to its timeless form with hits including 'We Are Family', 'He's The Greatest Dancer', 'Lost In Music' and 'Thinking of You' — to name just a few. Formed originally by Debbie, Joni, Kim and Kathy Sledge, many members have come and gone over 50 years; keeping it a family affair, today Debbie is at the helm, joined by daughter Camille, son David and nephew Thaddeus (son of the late Joni.) Debbie's long-time collaborator Tanya Ti-et also joins in on vocals.

    Hitchen priory grounds was o lovely venue made perfect with great weather. Sister a sledge did not disappoint, Del a Souls was ok, could have for with another support band . Very disappointing you could not take a picnic into the festival grounds assume it's all about making a profit. Toilet facilities were good as so many Porto loos !

    I paid for VIP tickets to see Sister Sledge De La Soul and Craig Charles and I'm so pleased I did, it was easier to get a drink had nice toilet facilities and had a bench to sit on as it was a long day, the staff from security to cleaners where amazing and felt safe all the time, was a great venue in my home town of Hitchin so worrying about getting home, only issue I had was the expense of drinks and food but expected at one of these events

    Sister Sledge were fabulous and entertaining. In addition Craig Charles is an incomparable DJ.

    Always loved Sister Sledge. I listen to their songs all the time but seeing them live was definitely an experience I will never forget.
